PROJECT DESCRIPTION

IDEATE: To prevent chronic kidney disease (CKD) in rural Africa, we propose a focused screening project. By targeting the family and close relatives of dialysis patients already connected to clinics, we can achieve early detection and intervention, avoiding the late stages of the disease. COLLABORATE: Efficient resource use involves collaboration with labs, physicians, and the Department of Health (DOH). Partnering with a reliable lab ensures actionable results and seamless referrals to physicians. Patient details will be added to MOH registers for accurate reporting. IMPACT: Our CKD prevention project, starting with high-risk individuals, aims to significantly reduce or delay CKD onset in the community, making a positive impact on public health.

Project Objectives

  • 1. Establish Targeted Screening Clinics
  • 2. Forge Strong Collaborative Partnerships
  • 3. Implement Robust Monitoring and Evaluation Mechanisms
