PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Bena Care together with Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (School of Health Sciences) have been undertaking a study on Chronic Kidney Disease in Murang'a county, Kenya. We have been researching on the treatment modalities available for CKD (Chronic Kidney Disease)

Project Objectives

  • Roll out the kidney disease preventative tool in the county
  • Introduce mobile dialysis as an alternative for patients in rural areas
  • Improve health outcomes for Kidney Disease patients

ABOUT Bena Care

Bena Care is a social enterprise that is based in Kenya .We are tackling the economic and emotional effects of long term hospital care for patients and their families by delivering affordable and quality clinical and supportive care to chronically ill patients, facilitating exchange of used and homecare equipment and empowering patients and their families to take care of each other through health education and training on caregiving
