In order to find the right partner, you need to describe your project in as much detail as possible. It’s especially important to list the skills and/or areas of expertise that you need your potential partner to have so that the project can be a success. The second vital piece of information you need to give are the timelines. When does the project need to be completed, and how much time will the volunteer need to invest? Be as specific as possible.

When you have uploaded the project it has to be cleared by our team. That can take up to a day. After the project has received a ‘Go’ it will become visible under ‘Find Projects’ on the MMH Connect website. As soon as a volunteer has expressed interest in getting involved in your project, you will be notified via the e-mail account you listed when registering. After that you can get in touch with the volunteer directly. If you and the volunteer both decide you are a good fit, you formally accept their application and kick-off the project. As soon as you do that, the project’s status on the MMH Connect website changes from ‘Active’ to ‘Ongoing’. In your registered user space you can always view a project’s status and make changes if needed.

To unlock the full range of functionalities that MMH Connect offers and to see details about the projects, you need to register on the platform as a Boehringer Ingelheim employee and make a profile page. Then, via the ‘Find Projects’ button in the main menu, you can search for one or more projects which are a good fit for you and your skill set. You can apply for a project by clicking on the ‘Engage’ button, whereupon the project owner will receive an e-mail with your contact information and can get in touch with you directly. If you are contacted, you can discuss the details of the project with the project owner. If you both decide that you are a good fit, the project owner will accept your application – and the project can get off the ground.

Every project listed on the MMH Connect platform is actively looking for volunteers who are willing and able to bring their skills and expertise to the table. Search for projects where your know-how and interests align as closely as possible with those that the project owner is looking for. But also make realistic assessments when it comes to the location of the project and the time you will need to invest. And last but not least: The work you will be doing should be fun and offer you the opportunity to grow as a person!

Boehringer Ingelheim employees can also launch their own projects. At the moment, during the platform’s initial set-up phase, use your login data and click on the ‘Upload Projects’ button in the main menu. You’ll then find step-for-step instructions that will guide you through the project registration process. Please note that, as a Boehringer Ingelheim employee, you don’t have a ‘Social Organization’.
